Anointing is not a strange word or experience to a Christian. Churches hold anointing services in which oil that’s anointed is poured on members. Believers often keep a bottle of blessed anointing oil in their homes, using it in prayer to sanctify themselves and the items they own.

As a believer, you must learn to separate your personal desires from God’s will in every area of your life. Your desires might be sincere, genuine, and free of selfish interests, but still fail the test of God’s approval. Therefore, your focus must be on how to live your life in alignment with the Holy Spirit, so you do not fall into error or live a life that attracts the applause and admiration of people but is not recognized by heaven.

A true believer understands that the world is evil and that evil lurks everywhere. But the mistake many people make is assuming their only enemies are physical ones—their wicked boss, angry neighbor, or the gang leader down the street. But they ignore the real enemy, the devil. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

There is a difference between healing and restoration. Healing is the process of fixing or repairing something that was broken, while restoration involves bringing back what was lost and or renewal. The beautiful thing is that God does both perfectly well.

Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:7 made a simple but profound statement: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” In this lesson, we will consider what it means to walk by faith and not by sight, its spiritual significance, and how to achieve it. Are you walking by faith or sight as a believer? Keep reading to learn.

We have heard many sermons about waiting on the Lord. Even the phrase “wait on the Lord” appears several times in the Bible. However, what does it really mean to wait on the Lord, and how do we go about it? To wait on the Lord means to patiently trust in God’s timing and plan, especially in times of distress, trials, and temptations.

Being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit does not shield believers from temptation. Any Christian should always be vigilant, as our loyalty to God and the strength of our faith and character will be tested in diverse ways.

Prioritizing God Many things in our lives compete for our attention, making it easy to get distracted. Instead of focusing on the right things—the ones that truly matter and give our lives meaning—we can easily veer off course, distracted by everything that comes our way. What is at the top of our list?
